Advertising without Compromising
We welcome advertisers that offer good value and use a different approach that
puts the group leader and group members in control.
When you’re the group leader, advertisers request your permission
to show offers to your members. An offer is only shown to your
members if it meets your standards. If members like the offer,
they can join that advertiser’s group and get additional offers.
If they join then change their mind, they can shut
the advertiser off.
The bottom line – no advertiser will be allowed to solicit
members in your group without your approval, so you’re never
spamming members. You’re only showing them offers you think
are worthwhile and appropriate.
Data Defended
The information a potential advertiser receives about a group
is only general demographic data such as the average age of
members, number of female and male members and postal codes.
If a group has so few members that the demographic information
presented to potential advertisers could be readily traced
back to a specific member, GroupTrack will not provide information
until a larger representative sample is available.
Even after joining an advertiser’s group, members’ e-mail addresses are
withheld. As a result, if the member later quits the advertiser’s
group, there’s no direct route through GroupTrack for the
advertiser to follow that member.
